BUILDING THE UTILITY COLUMNS

The fishroom utilities had to come over the wall from the backroom,

and the system rows are way too long not to be able to cross over at each end.

So, onto the utility columns…

Five columns were erected using steel studs, each anchors one of the fish systems on the fishroom floor.

Our drywall crew was moving so fast, my D-100 couldn’t catch him…

Thanks to Dong Lee at SJ Remodeling, the interior walls seemed to go up overnight, and the quality of the drywall work is beyond belief.

Electricals, water supply, waste disposal and air supply, all neatly tucked away.

All of the electrical work was ably executed by Don Steinman, who owns Steinman Electric in Olney.  We’re more than happy to recommend his services…(301) 570-7939

Thanks again, Don!

Andrew with the BIG beard, wrapping up the blower installation.

This is one of two loops that supply the entire store with pressurized air.

The rest of the piping is water supply moving the different water mixes from back room towers to the utility columns.

(It works well but I’ve got to nag Nick about his unique little solution to the pipe collision on the left.  However, in his defense, it is tough to find Schedule 40 fittings at 3:00 AM.)
